Type will be at this year's Word On The Street, a free, annual outdoor festival that celebrates Canadian reading and writing, and champions literacy.
We will be selling books at a new venue called the New Narratives Tent, which features programming dedicated to the promotion of avant-garde ways of telling stories that connect with niche audiences. The sessions will comprise of panels, discussions, demonstrations, and hands-on workshops. Check out award winning cartoonist and illustrator Nina Bunjevac's upcoming graphic novel Fatherland, an interactive Zine Off presented in partnership with Broken Pencil Magazine, poetry readings including The Scarborough by Michael Lista, a conversation about art books between David Balzer and Margaux Williamson, and a theremin performance and reading of Us Conductors by Sean Michaels.
