launch party for the second Hazlitt print edition with extra dancing > JUNE 26

To be honest, the contents of the new issue of Hazlitt  look pretty grim — stories about ebola, suicide, the horror of adolescent embarrassment, fiction entitled “The End” and “Blood-Red Beard”, Molotov cocktail still lifes, Heather O'Neill setting her house on fire, prison architecture, and, from Burma, "The Dead Boy." Consider it their idea of a summer issue.

Fortunately, Hazlitt's idea of a summer party is less dark, so Kalpna Patel is  transforming our Queen West location into a dance club/art installation for one night only, late into the evening.

Look forward to:
> Special guest DJs
> Pop-up wine and beer bar by Krysta Oben
> Free drink with purchase of Hazlitt No. 2
> Absolutely zero readings
> Maybe Scaachi Koul, ever helpful author of Hazlitt's Unfuck Yourself column, will dispense free advice

Hazlitt No. 2 features appearances by Heather O'Neill, Owen Pallett, Lorrie Moore, Tao Lin, Michael Deforge, Xu Bing, Lisa Hanawalt, Julia Dault, Daniel Galera and many more. Edited by Chris Frey and art directed by Jeremy Laing.
