The Platform Series
We are proud to introduce the “Platform Series,” an exciting new exhibition and lecture series hosted by TYPE Queen Street.
Conceived and coordinated by our very own Derek McCormack, the series' first installment features Canadian art icon Micah Lexier, an internationally acclaimed artist who has exhibited at galleries and museums around the world. Click here to learn more.

We host a wide range of special events at TYPE. Some highlights include an afternoon with Margaret Atwood, a rollicking Sunday kids’ reading with Evan Solomon, a jam-packed panel discussion about the hit television show “LOST,” and of course our fabulous Jack Kerouac look-alike contest.

Neighbourhood outreach
Word-Play is a non-profit literacy program that takes place in the gallery of TYPE books on Queen. This year we hosted children from Niagara Public School, Givins Shaw Public School and St. Mary's Catholic School. Click here to learn more about the program.
